Bob was a nice guy.

Sort of. It wasn't his fault his family had been mean to him when he was young. And the fact that he never completed his high school education. That was even worse.

So here he was, holding a kid hostage from some rich family.

They better not call the cops or the kid was getting it.

Kyrene paced the living room of her mansion. Boy, was she pissed. More pissed than nervous in fact. How dare some lowlife scum kidnap her child. Alex was her protege after all, and it wouldnt do if he got hurt. Yep, what she would give to snap the kidnapper's sorry neck. But she couldnt. Which was why it was time to hire a private assassin...

A figure stepped out from the shadows and approached Kyrene.

"You called?"

"I have." Kyrene nodded at the ominous figure. "I am an important business woman. I have my pride, honor and reputation to defend. As a result, I require your service in order to save my son. Perhaps we can work something out."

"I see," the figure replied. "The nature of this mission is to save your kin. Before we come to a conclusion, may I inquire as to the nature of the enemy?" As the figure said this, it raised its head slowly to meet Kyrene's gaze. From beneath the hood, Kyrene could see the figure's dark brown eyes and the deep scar that ran across the figure's face.


OOC: I used "it" because the character's gender is unknown to Kyrene at the moment.

"It is difficult to say. I know it is a man who wants my money. Money I have plenty of, but I am wary about whether I can trust him to return my son safely to me. He ordered me to not contact the authorities--a promise which I have kept. He did however, request the money be brought in a suitcase to the lost and found center of Disneyland. I know, of all places! But the immense crowd will allow for easier camoflage and protection on his part. What say you?"

OOC: i didnt want it to be a cliche place like warehouse by the docks, so i chose disneyland, hehe!

"Any amount of distractions cannot help my target hide from me," the cloaked figure said simply.

There was silence.

The figure made a decision. "Endangering a child for the sake of material gain is unforgivable. I will accept the mission. Which of my services do you require?"

Kyrene thought for a moment. "Bring him back to me alive. I wish to know his reasons for kidnapping ALex. Of course, you have permission to make him suffer a bit. Consider it a bonus." THe woman smiled grimly. "And your payment in exchange?"

Bob got ready his weapons. He stared at the kid with a sweet smile~!

Alex stared back with a not so nice smile. "What do you want?" His eyes took a closer look at his surroundings. Disneyland. Perfect. It would just make his escape easier, but that stupid man had grabbed his gadgets. However, it was no match when one compared the body of Bob and Alex. Who would win? The fat man or the athletic teenager?

"Pretty soon, your precious parent will come here and I will be RICH. You hear me, kid," he laughed, "I'll be stinkin' rich." He laughed right in front of Alex, showing off his teeth.

Alex turned away, wrinkling his nose, "You stink, literally."

The man grumbled a few words about 'insolent child' before moving away to check on the status. No rich woman yet.

Alex was currently tied up in one of those rooms where malfunctioned rides were held. His hands had already started grinding at the rope...

OOC: Wow. Alex is here too, eh?

The figure sighed, then threw the hood back. "MAN! I'm getting tired of acting like this all the time! Ugh!" She gasped, exasperated. She straightened up again.

"Excuse my random outburst. A simple cash payment is fine. I'm not demanding any solid number. It will be my pleasure to deliver this dastardly man to you. I shall leave immediately."

Kyrene sneered, in a nice way of course. "I was wondering when you would drop the act, my old friend. You already know ALex means more than money to me. And since you let me choose the type of payment, I will give you a card that grants access to my private bank account so that you can withdraw funds to meet ends needs. I know you aren't the type to value money very much." Kyrene said, smiling.

OOC: Grudgingly returns to the Modern World.

Moments later, she was at Disneyland. Such a happy place was the setting of the kidnapping of a child. How ironic.

She stood atop the Matterhorn. People were too distracted by the frightening Yeti to notice another pair of eyes staring out across Disneyland. He was nowhere to be found.

She adjusted the view on her binoculars. Suddenly she saw a small, flashing red light emitting from a lonesome flasher toy outside the maintenance room. 3 dots, 3 dashes, and 3 dots again. SOS.

Quickly she moved toward that direction.
