"Eh! But I seriously can't use my magic!" Kianus was on the verge of another panic attack. He didn't want to be thrown out into an unknown world. He needed to get back home asap. According to the rules of magic, one had to warp back where one had warped to, if that made any sense.

A lightbulb lit up in his head. He pointed at his ears. "Hah! Humans don't have pointed ears. Disprove that lady!"

"You mean to say that elves have pointed ears which is unusual to humans, correct?" It was her habit to repeat statements to help her understand what people said.

She touched her ears absentmindedly, then looked at Kianus' ears. "I can't believe I never noticed your pointed ears," she murmured.

OOC: Waz the point? We're just going to get escorted out. Wait. Daz not good.

"Wait a minute. Kianus, the only portal is here, is it not?!" Haishiro glanced about her nervously. "The only way for us to go back is through here. If you transported yourself here, you should be able to go back by the laws of magic, no?"

"So is it a family trait or did you get plastic surgery?" Kyrene asked, mildly fascinated by someone so devoted to their faith. That or cosplaying.

OOC: Too lazy to keep up with the color thing. And besides, it's only Kianus here.

"It's a race thing," chuckled Kianus quite forcefully. "I don't know you mean by plastic surgery, but these ears have been with me ever since I was born. If you don't believe my ears, then look at my eyes. They are slanted, unlike the normal humans."

He turned to Haishiro, "I don't know. It's like my magic short fused here. Rather, I seemed to have damaged my arm when I got here. He held up his right hand. There was an awful hole on it though there was no visible blood. "It seems like a part of me got lost on the way here..."
He looked to Kyrene, "And no, that was not from surgery." He could feel his happy mood sliding away. That was just dandy. Just leave it to the humans to drive him up a wall. He looked to his staff. He did not want to risk using his staff for he only used it in critical situations. It was a weapon of great power. He looked at Kyrene. She wasn't any closer to believing him than before.

With that, he grabbed his wand and cast a simple water spell.

The whole room started to flood.

"Shoot!" Apparently, the young elf still could not control his staff that well. That was bad. "Sorry." At least he knew he couldn't risk a portal spell. It might have created a black hole for all he knew.

'That would be the end of my life,' he thought.

He stared at the other two. He hoped they wouldn't freak out. All he needed was a fire spell next...

Haishiro seemed somewhat amused at the water as it trickled inward from the room's walls. She looked gravely at the wizard's hands.

"Unfortunately my healing skills are not quite good enough to patch holes with," she lamented. "I don't think that magic is completely suppressed in this world. It should be able to work, although the hole in your hand is most likely your problem."

The assassin turned to Kyrene. "The flooding may convince you that Kianus is from another world, but I have yet to prove myself."

With that, she removed the armor plating on her right arm. she unsheathed her dagger again. "Yugurehi, cut me." She smiled at the other two. "Yugurehi won't cut me unless I command it to." Turning back to the dagger, she raised Yugurehi high in the air, then sliced at her arm. Blood escaped onto her sleeve from the gaping gash.

She held out her arm for Kyrene to see. "This is a true flesh wound. Now watch, if you please." Haishiro muttered a healing spell, and her right hand shone with a white light. She closed her right hand into a fist, then said, "With the light of the Lord, heal this wound." As she unfurled her fist, the wound shimmered with the white light, then both wound and light disappeared, leaving only a large rip in her sleeve as evidence that the arm had been cut.

"Okay, you know what! Stop it! Get out of here before my lounge floods! Great, now I have to move my meeting somewhere else. And I have no idea how you did that illusion thing with your arm or the funky lighting. If you guys wanna play Penn and Teller, take your show somewhere else! ARgggghhh!"

OOC: i would strongly advise that you mention something about my background or RIN. something that only I was suppose to know.

OOC: We don't know you have RIN, since we're supposed to meet you here. Okay, this is getting really strange. Time to bail~

The assassin narrowed her eyes. "Parlor tricks are my specialty." She turned to the wizard. "I'm sorry I can't help you, but I think it's time for me to go." She withdrew a small package bandaged in cloth. Inside was a dagger covered in what seemed like black rust. She unsheathed Yugurehi and pointed the two daggers at each other. There was a mixture of darkness and light as Haishiro disappeared.

OOC: Guess it's time to flee. Time to use Deus ex machina. !!!

"She bailed on me!" shouted Kianus. He stared at Kyrene awkwardly. "Yeah...sorry about the room...Maybe I shouldn't be messing with magic in a non-magical world."

Fenrir appeared again, in his cloak.

"Oh, Lord--" Kianus was knocked unconscious. Fenrir grabbed him.

"Time is up; we must leave wizard Kianus." Fenrir waved his hands and opened up a portal. He looked to Kyrene, "The chains of fate have brought you all together." With that mysterious message, he left with Kianus.

Kyrene flipped open her cell phone and called her son, "Alex, please bring up some Tylenol for mommy." She couldn't bail out now! The meeting was about to start and she was seeing people freakin teleport!

OOC: I have a plan!

Laurel fell back into the lounge and was soaking wet! What had just happened. She was sipping tea and all of a sudden she was blasted back in this hell hole.

She stopped. There were people talking in a room. She opened the door....

10 Heads swiveled to look at her. "What is the meaning of this?" a dark haired woman asked Kyrene.
"Oh! She's my...niece." Kyrene finished lamely, jumping up. "Er, she just came back from, uh, the anime expo. Isn't that right sweety? Has it stopped raining? You're soaking wet." Not waiting for an answer, Kyrene instantly shoved the confused girl out the door. "Excuse me for a moment~!" she called back to the group.

She forcefully dragged the girl to the elevator. It stopped at the office/penthouse. Kyrene whirled around. "Okay, stay HERE. I dunno what's going on, but I am in the middle of a meeting. You have some NERVE walking in like that. I will talk to you in approximately half and hour. Do not wander off. ANd do not touch ANYTHING." she added, after noticing the girl eyeballing her sword RIN. With that, she whirled around and disappeared through the large oak doors.

Laurel didn't like to be told what to do. After Kyrene had left, she quickly grabbed the sword, curious to see what it was. It was cold to the touch and it seemed to be rejecting her... She placed it back where she found it. There were marks on her hand...

Well, she had nothing to do so she might as well waited...

Kyrene walked into her office and flopped down in her cushy executive chair tiredly. She glanced at RIN. It was still there. But slightly askew. The girl must have touched it. An irritated tick began to appear on her forehead. Speaking of the girl..

"You girl, come here."
The girl obediently came forward.
"Okay, so you and your friends, what do you want from me?"

"What I want from you?" Laurel scoffed. "I want to go home. This place is creepy, wet, and dirty. I was in the MIDDLE of something when I was brought back to this place."

She crossed her arms, "What's the meaning of this. People are being pulled into this place. It's not our problem but the place's. For all I know, you could be an orc in disguise, finding ways to get new victims."

Laurel walked down the hallway. "If you're not going to tell me how to get out of here, I'll find my own way."
